| Melbourne Adventure Sprint - Wrap-up |
|
Melbourne turned on a perfect day for Adventure Racing, with experienced Melbourne teams mixing it up with lots of new faces within the Adventure Racing ranks. Team Think Kayaks prevailed on the day, taking out male and overall winners in a time of 2:18. First past the post in the mixed category was The Flaming Smegs, while in a strong female field, the girls from Smiths Gully GS Racing took the category prize. Teams were treated to some tricky nav that kept them guessing through Westerfolds park, while the highlight of the day had to be the sweeping singletrack trails of the relatively unknown Candlebark Park. Teams also kayaked the Yarra River, taking a fairly quick passage through the slalom kayaking course on their way to the finish line. Results and race photos are now up, while a full race report will be available shortly. |
