The beauty of Adventure Racing is anything can happen. Adventure races aren’t tied to a set format, such as triathlon, and with no governing body, the imagination of individual event directors can run wild with interesting and new ways in which to run an event.

XCM Series 2012 Announced

CycleNation together with Real Insurance are excited to announce the event line up for Australia's biggest Mountain Bike Series, the Real Insurance XCM Series. After a successful inaugural series in 2011 which saw more than 4,500 participants across all of the events, the Series is expanding to Victoria with the inclusion of the Wombat 100.

Stevens Bikes Husky 100

iAdventure is excited to announce a new iAdventure_Husky_logo_JPEG_RGB partnership with Stevens Bikes which sees THE 100K’er MTB Marathon changing its name to the Stevens Bikes Husky 100 for 2012.

Stevens Bikes incorporate the experience of 20 years of bike development, used in conjunction with highly valuable feedback from Stevens Bikes’ top athletes. This feedback helps Stevens Bikes to develop technologically mature, high-value, lightweight and comfortable mountain bikes that satisfy any demand.

Husky Entries open this Wednesday

Following the success of the inaugural Real Insurance XCM Series that saw Australia’s favourite MTB Marathon events joined into one definitive competition, organisers of the Husky 100, iAdventure, announce that entries to the 2012 Husky 100 & Husky 50 MTB Marathon will open this Wednesday, the 25th of January.

Bottlebutt entries postponed

Like a thief in the night, the Bottlebutt entries have been postponed this morning, pending a massive announcement due out of the iAdventure camp early next week.

English bags the Bottlebutt

National MTB Marathon Champion Jason English has taken out the inaugural Bottlebutt 100 with a gritty ride that bared all the markings of a true champion, holding out a solid challenge from Garmin Cervelo rider and training buddy Lachlan Morton.
